Another example: Gerry is 'the natural born ambassador of fair supply chains' and so she was asked to support Ireland's Fairtrade 2010-campaign. Gerry was the host of the launch of the campaign: The BIG SWAP Fairtrade Breakfast in the historical Dublin City Hall. Gerry gave an interview for the special Fairtrade Newsletter which has been distributed throughout Ireland with the newspaper 'Irish Independent'. On page 5 you can find the interview with Gerry and also a picture of her friend Hillary Clinton! Click here >>
Gerry personally takes care that workers and farmers in Asia, Africa and Latin America get a fair price for their products. That's why during the Irish Fairtrade-campaign Gerry did business with government representatives, companies, volunteers, representatives from the south and press, TV and media and inspired them all to swap. After this campaign Ireland is ready for a big swap to fair trade products.

Gerry's personal message for all representatives of the international industry of tea, coffee and cocoa you find on page 22 here >>

Gerry's inspiration works for everybody. She moderated on international conferences with people from all over the world. Gerry is a great help to get representatives from industry, trade unions, NGO's and governments connected and to stimulate their exchange for a better world. Here you can find more examples of Gerry's work on international conferences and roundtables. As a 'natural born ambassadrice' Gerry is gifted with a personality to get professionals connected and to simulate their exchange. Gerry is dedicated to her mission: to inspire all people, rich and poor, to improve their lives and work. Especially when she can contribute to make this a better world for the less fortunate.

Gerry worked with representatives from industry like Sony Ericsson, Dell, HP, IBM, Philips, Motorola, Royal Ahold, Sara Lee/Douwe Egberts, Tchibo Gmbh, Rabobank, Unilever and many more. She worked with Trade Unions and NGO's out of western and southern countries, like Oxfam International, Solidaridad, Fair Trade, FNV Bondgenoten, CNV Bedrijvenbond, UN/ILO, International Metalworkers' Federation and Ministries from different countries and many more. Gerry also worked with youth organizations out of all EU-countries.

Gerry turned herself into a business woman with a PO Box-business on the Cayman Islands... and led a debate of Fairfood International with tax experts, NGO's and audience on the 'forgotten' issue of tax avoidance. Gerry revealed her plan to transform all PO Boxes on the Cayman Islands into transparent glass/plastic PO Boxes as a symbolic call for more transparency of multinationals in tax-reporting in every country they have businesses registered. This is needed. Read more about this subject by this link and this link.

Watch the video of the International Youth Roundtable where representatives of EU-youth organizations work on fair IT and electronics. Gerry was hosting this roundtable. Watch Gerry dancing like a bollywood-star and a very nice compliment for her at the end of this video.

As a natural born ambassador of Fair Trade, Gerry gave a speech on 1st October 2009 on the international Tropical Commodity Coalition conference 'Combining efforts!'. Gerry shared her serious doubts about all these posh conferences dealing with the poorest people in this world. But realistically as Gerry is, she gave all she got to combine efforts and to make unexpected matches and love between industry, NGO and Trade Unions. Gerry is on a picture on page 45 of the Conference Report. And watch the official video of the conference:
